About
Telex is an experimental AI-powered tool developed by Automattic that transforms natural language descriptions into functional WordPress Gutenberg blocks and plugins without requiring any coding knowledge. Users simply enter a text prompt describing their desired website component (like banners, galleries, or forms), and Telex leverages artificial intelligence to automatically generate all the necessary code, package it as a downloadable WordPress plugin, and make it ready for immediate installation. The AI handles the technical complexity of WordPress development, allowing content creators, marketers, and small business owners to quickly implement custom website features that would typically require a developer. Whether for rapid prototyping, testing creative ideas in WordPress Playground, or empowering non-technical users to build more sophisticated websites, Telex exemplifies how AI can democratize web publishing by making custom site development accessible to everyone regardless of technical background.
